 * "The Nueva Vida Church has been praying for the town of Bonilla for a long time," reported a team member in Uruguay. "This month a lay pastor, Roberto, and a group of leaders from the church were able to go there. They showed the JESUS Film with complete success. More than six families regularly attend this new mission church. God is doing great miracles there. Gabriela is one of those miracles of God. She left her life full of vices for a life totally transformed by God."

* “We picked up a lady on the road who was ill and on her way to a medical clinic,” shared a team member in Cuba. “When we recently went to show the film we began to share the plan of salvation with her, including the fact that God could save her soul and heal her body. We prayed for her to be saved and prayed for healing. She was touched by what she heard and accepted the Lord. He is faithful to His children. She was saved and healed when we dropped her off. We give God thanks for the opportunity to carry the good news of salvation to all people who are without God and without hope. Glory to God!”

* “The priest expressed how much he was impressed by the JESUS Film,” testified a team member in Nepal. “There were two hundred people watching the JESUS Film at the showing in this town. The next day, after the film, we went to the house of the priest for the follow-up program and explained to him in detail about Jesus. He is now much more positive towards the Gospel, though he has not yet given his life to Christ. However, one of his houses is being used for fellowship!”
Pray that this priest will accept Jesus Christ as his Savior.

 * Magdalena: Released From Shame, the new "women's version of the JESUS Film", is beginning its debut around the world. As it becomes available, we are making it available to the teams. The following testimony is the first we've received: "My name is Reina. I have been attending church for some time but just didn’t want to make my decision for the Lord. The pastor invited the whole community to come to the showing of Magdalena. I was touched by the suffering of the Lord Christ Jesus. I started crying right there and made my decision for Christ. My family also received the Lord!"

* "He was rich but was never happy with his life. He experienced some absence which he couldn’t pick out," a team member in Kenya reported about Mr. Nzimwa. “Mr. Nzimwa, who had never been to a church and didn't know God, attended the showings of the JESUS Film. He was very impressed and really liked what he saw. On the first day of the shows he didn’t accept Christ, but the following day when an altar call was made he accepted Christ into his life. He testified to how he was a drunkard and used to smoke cigarettes. He felt that these were the most important things in his life. He is now happy and testifies to the change in his life.”
Praise the Lord for this new believer and the changes that are occurring in his life.
* "Now some are cell group leaders working in the ministry, and being trained to better serve the Lord," reported a team member in the Dominican Republic. "I give glory to God for what He is doing through this ministry. We have seen many people come to know the Lord with the JESUS Film. We ask for prayer for the new believers and for our team; that God will protect us in His peace, as well as all who make this ministry possible."

Summer is in full bloom. Yet for many in the U.S. Midwest, this is perhaps one of the most difficult summers of all. Some are wondering if anyone remembers the floods that ravaged the Midwest a little more than a month ago. Many Nazarene families and churches were severely affected and federal assistance, in many regards, was inadequate. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries USA/Canada has received an immediate and desperate request for Work and Witness teams to mobilize and serve affected communities in Iowa, particularly the Cedar Falls area, and Northwest Illinois. Nazarene Disaster Response National Director Steve Creech has placed a request for immediate assistance for teams who are able to mud-out homes and perform other repairs. At this time, Crisis Care Kits are well supplied. Recently NCN News had the opportunity to visit with Creech and several flood victims in Cedar Falls. The victims are members of the Loving Water Church of the Nazarene in Cedar Falls, which is pastored by Myron Hall. One of the members had to make the decision to level the home in which she was raised, and raised her children, because of excessive flood damage. Nazarene Communications Network
